What is Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine focuses on the optimal functioning of the entire body and it’s organs, rather than targeting individual symptoms. We focus on addressing underlying causes of symptoms and diseases. Genetic, environment and lifestyle factors all have a direct influence of long term health and chronic issues.

What is Reset Lab's methods?

We use a combination of Naturopathic wisdom, Herbal Medicine and Functional Medicine testing, to find underlying imbalances. We then use lifestyle, nutrition, herbals and supplements to form a pathway to reset balance.

How is Reset Labs Approach Different?

Traditional Medicine can be focus on treating symptoms, we like to see these symptoms as indicators as part of discovering underlying imbalances.

How long does it take to get results

Results vary by each person. Some people feel dramatic improvement within the first month, others may take a bit longer. Our standard programs are for a minimum of 3-6 months. Remember, your body didn’t fail overnight. Years of stress and illness takes its toll and it takes a proper amount of time to restore. On average it takes one month of repair for each year you’ve suffered from a specific problem.

About Lab testing
  • The specific tests ordered will be personalised to you based on your initial evaluation with a Reset Lab practitioner and may include blood, saliva, urine, stool, hair analysis and DNA.
  • You are under no obligation to purchase any specialty testing.
  • At home test kits: If a lab test kit is mailed to you by Reset Lab , you will be charged the day the kit is mailed, payment plans for testing, can be arranged at time of appointment.

What is the best way to book an appointment?

The best way for you is to use the on line booking scheduler, you can see what appointments are free and what type of appointment you require. 

What type of appointment do I need

Depending on the program you choose, your appointments will be a mixture of the following.

Practitioner initial appointment – 90 min

Practitioner follow Up – 60 min

Nutrition and Lifestyle – 60 min

Test Results Review – 60 min

Progress Review – 60 min

Maintenance Design – 60 min

Health Coach first – 40 min

Health Coaching follow ups – 20 min

Detox massage – 60 min

Your Programs also allow for practitioner time to review your findings and lab results, design programs and protocols, this is the absolute key to tailoring a specific program for individual needs. 


Payment Methods

We have a range of options:

  • Eft Pos is available at the clinic, for eftpos and credit card transactions (these carry the credit card surcharge)
  • GoCardless which allows for dividing your payments into equal portions over 10 weeks(this does not carry surcharge)
  • Part Pay – divides payments into 6 equal payments
  • (there is a surcharge for this)
  • On-line we use Square space to process credit card payments
Scheduling & Cancellations

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all appointments with a Reset Lab practitioner, health coach, or team member. Canceling within 24-hours will result in a $50 charge to the credit card on file.

No-shows: If you do not show up to a phone, video/online or in person appointment without notifying the specific person you have an appointment with either via email or by changing the appointment using the online scheduling tool on the patient portal, you will be charged $100 to the card on file.

E-mail Etiquette

You are welcome to e-mail your Practitioner or Health Coach, however if an  e-mail question, or request is deemed by one of our staff to be too complicated or involved for a response via e-mail they may, at their discretion, require that a member schedule a phone, telemedicine, or in person appointment, instead of responding via email. 

Client Portal

The Client platform we use is Practice Better. It is a Canadian software that we choose because of it’s great user friendly systems. It is also guided by very strict HIPPA compliant security rules, so that all your information is both available for your to see and secure. When you book your first appointment you will be sent a link to join Practice Better. Please use your international phone prefix.

For example our clinic number is 021224994, you would enter 64 21224994 you don’t have to put the 0 before the mobile number or the area code.


Supplements & Herbal remedies

To ensure your best healing journey, we use a variety of Herbal remedies made at the reset lab – High-Quality Practioner only supplements.

These can be sent to your door and after your first order, you will be given a fridge magnet that allows you to order direct.

How long do test results take

As samples often need to be sent offshore, lab results can take anywhere form 4-6 weeks. The Dutch test can take longer as it depends on your timing of when you send the test to the laboratory. If you are still cycling, you will need to wait to mid cycle.
